Steps to make Mushroom Matar:
Wash,cut and boil the mushroom with pinch turmeric powder and salt.
Heat butter or oil in a non stick pan and lightly fry Mushrooms.this step is optional.you can cook mushroom without frying. Now in same pan add green chillies,ginger, garlic and onion Fry these 2-3 minutes then add tomato and cook till becomes soft.let it cool then grind it to make a paste (don't add water.)keep a side……
Heat some oil in same pan add Jeera when it sprinkles add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder and Jeera powder.roast it on low flame.
Now add Matar.cook for 2-3 minutes till soften.then add tomato paste. Mix well and place the lid.cook for 3-4 minutes.
Add Mushrooms, cashews paste..and Salt Cook 2-3 minutes till oil separates
Then add 1 cup water or as you desired the thickness of gravy. Cook for desired consistency.
Then add cream and garam masala. mix well.add kasuri methi after rubbing.Cover and cook 1-2 minutes more.Then turn off the flame.
Garnish with cream, chopped coriander.and onion slices.Served with naan or Chapati
