The ingredients needed to make Kansar:
  1. Take 1 cup whole wheat flour (coarse)
  2. Take 1 tbsp Ghee to add in aatta
  3. Take 1/4 cup jaggery
  4. Take 3/4 cup water
  5. Prepare 1 tbsp Ghee to add in the water
  6. Get As required Melted ghee - accordingly
  7. Make ready As per taste Powdered sugar - accordingly

Here's the traditional recipe made in a pressure cooker. Kansar is a traditional Gujarati dish made with whole wheat flour and jaggery. Also known as Lapsi, this dessert recipe is extremely popular. It is customary in weddings to make this sweet dish and have the bride and groom taste it on the day of their marriage.

Steps to make Kansar:
  1. Take flour, add oil in that. Mix it well and keep it aside.
  2. Take a heavy bottom pan. Add water, ghee and jaggery. Let it boils for some time.
  3. Add flour in this water. Close it without mixing. Cook it on low flame for another 5 minutes. After that, open and mix it well.
  4. And shift to another vessel which can go in your cooker.
  5. Take a pressure cooker. Add water and keep the kansar vessel in that. Close it. Give 5-6 whistles.
  6. Open and serve hot with main dish. Don't forget to add powdered sugar and ghee on the top. Mix it well and enjoy.

Kansar is a traditional Gujarati sweet made during special occasions or festivals. It is given by the bride's mother to the groom during wedding ceremony.
