Gyoza is one of the most favored of recent trending meals in the world. It is enjoyed by millions every day. It’s easy, it is quick, it tastes yummy. Gyoza is something that I’ve loved my entire life. They are fine and they look wonderful.

  1. Take 1 cup ground beef (340g)
  2. Get 5 oz cabbage finely chopped (5/8 cup)

These dumplings also freeze well in zip-lock bags. Gyoza is a type of Japanese dumplings, with juicy meat filling inside of dumpling wrappers. Originating from Chinese jiaozi dumplings, they have become a mainstay of Japanese recipes. It's very popular in and outside of Japan.

Steps to make Gyoza:
  1. In a large mixing bowl. Combine all ingredients and mix well. Or use a food processor if you have one.
  2. Make sure cabbage is blanched for 3 secs in boiling water or microwave for 15 secs for easier mixing.
  3. Put 1 teaspoonful of meatball in the middle of the pot sticker wrapper.
  4. Line inner half of the wrapper with water. And fold in half against the dry side.
  5. Press pot stickers together using side of thumb and index finger. (I'm lazy so yeah lol)
  6. By following steps above gyoza should stand on it's own.
  7. In nonstick cooking pan, pour sesame oil and vegetable oil and fry the bottom of the gyoza until brown.
  8. Add water and cover to steam cook gyoza. Serve hot and enjoy.

The original Chinese dumplings are called Jiaozi (餃子). These dumplings consist of ground meat and. Gyoza is found at Chinese restaurants in Japan, but also a staple dish at Ramen noodle restaurants. Freshly made gyoza at restaurants is wonderful, but it is not that hard to make gyoza at home as good as restaurants especially if you use pre-made Gyoza skins (wrappers). Gyoza share similarities with both pierogi and spring rolls and are cooked in the same fashion as pierogi, either boiled or fried.
