I got the recipe from my husband's mother. She is French so I believe this is a French Meat Pie. Beef, pork, and potato are all nicely spiced and baked into a pie.

Instructions to make Meatpie:
  1. For the dough::: 4cups of baking flour, 1tsp of baking powder, I sachet of simas butter, a pinch of salt, then a cup of water, pour your flour in a bowl, add your salt and baking powder and mix, add your butter and mix it in very well, then add your water and mix it to get not too soft and not too strong consistency and set aside. For your filling,::: pour your your minced meat in a pot or non stick pan, add little oil to cook, add salt, seasoning cube, curry and thyme and allow to cook for
  2. Awhile then add your well sliced carrot and Irish potatoes and put small water to cook with, after awhile add your green pepper and allow everything to cook properly, then add mayonnaise and allow to cool, When its cool enough, roll out your dough and place on a meatoie cutter and put your filling and cut out, when you are done, place them on a baking tray and brush each of them with raw egg and bake

To my amazement, it was the same pie my grandmother used to serve when I was a youngster! I copied the meat pie recipe, and I have been enjoying it ever since. —Rita Winterberger, Huson, Montana Now is the time to prepare the dough for the meat pie. You really do not need a lot of salt for the meat pie dough. The meat pie will get most of its taste from the filling. Mix these dry ingredients very well.
