  2. Take 1/2 cup Sama Rice/samak Rice atta/Barnyard Millets

  5. Take 2 tsp Fresh coriander,chopped
  6. Take 1 Small Size Grated Cucumber
  7. Take as needed Oil for frying

  1. In a grinding jar add samak rice/Barnyard Millets and sago and grind it into a fine powder.
  2. Transfer this mixture in a deep bowl, add grated cucumber and all the remaining ingredients and mix well.
  3. Add water a little at a time and make a thick pouring consistency.
  4. Leave to rest for 5-10 minutes.
  5. Heat a non stick pan on medium flame and grease it lightly with the few drops of oil.
  6. Now pour a ladle full of batter on it and spread it slightly(don’t make it very thin).
  7. Drizzle some oil around the edge and the center.
  8. Cover with a lid and cook on medium flame until edges become brown.
  9. Now spread some oil over it and flip it to the other side.
  10. Cover and cook again. Fry until the cheela is cooked completely and get golden spot.
  11. Remove when done and serve hot sabudana cheela with fasting green chutney.

During Navratri fast is observed in Northern part of the country and also in states like Maharastra.
