  14. Get 6 each Strips of cooked bacon, cooked and crumbled

I had to later mix it all together and added more lettuce. I usually make this bacon, lettuce, onion, pea, cheese and cauliflower layered salad in a large flat bowl. There's never too much because everybody loves it! You can vary the salad by substituting green onions for red, jack cheese for the Cheddar, etc.

Instructions to make Cottie's layered salad:
  1. Mix mayo. Lemon juice., sugar and garlic
  2. Mix pasta, 1/2 green onions, italian dressing
  3. Layer romain, pasta mix, peas, cauliflower, broccoli, red pepper
  4. Cover in mayo mixture to seal
  5. Top with bacon and cheese
  6. Refrigerate for a while. Like 2 hours
  7. Mix before serving
  8. Still good the next day

In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and sugar; spoon over salad, spreading to cover. Sprinkle top with cheese, bacon and cranberries. Now as an adult, I can see why my mom loved layered salads so much.
