He was very specific that he wanted pineapple, coconut and lots of nuts in his carrot cake.

The ingredients needed to make Carrot Cake:
  1. Get 400 Grams Carrots
  2. Make ready 3/4 Cup Flour
  3. Take 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  4. Get 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon powder

  6. Make ready 3/4 Cup Sugar
  7. Get 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Essence

Try it and I think you will agree that it is the best!! In a large bowl, whisk together flour, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon. In a mixing bowl, mix sugar, vegetable oil, and eggs. In another bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

Instructions to make Carrot Cake:
  1. Grate 400gm of carrot, and put keep it aside. This will yield about 250 grams of grated carrot.
  2. In a bowl, sieve in together the flour, baking soda, and cinnamon powder.
  3. In a different bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, vanilla, and oil.
  4. Now slowly add the dry ingredients into the bowl which contains the wet ingredients. Mix well.
  5. Add in the grated carrot and whisk.
  6. Now line your baking dish with oil, and pour in the batter.
  7. Bake at 180° Celsius for 20-25 mins.
  8. Poke with a toothpick to see if the cake is properly cooked all the way through. If the toothpick comes out clean, then you are done.
  9. Serve with some cream on the side!

I like using all-purpose flour, but you can substitute some of the all-purpose flour for whole wheat or white whole wheat flour. For a gluten-free carrot cake, swap the flour for your favorite gluten-free flour blend. Baking soda helps the cake to rise. Salt, cinnamon, and vanilla extract make the cake taste amazing. Oil keeps the cake nice and moist — any neutral flavored oil will work.
