The ingredients needed to make Chilli Parotta:
  1. Take Parottas chopped (leftovers) - 3 nos
  2. Make ready Oil for frying
  3. Get Cube cut onions - 1 medium onion
  4. Get Green bell pepper; chopped into cubes - 1/2 pepper
  5. Take as needed Salt
  6. Get Chilli sauce - 1 tblsp
  7. Make ready Tomato sauce - 2 tblsp
  8. Make ready 2 tsp Soy sauce -
  9. Make ready 1/4 cup Hot Water -
  10. Take Chopped cilantro - few
  11. Prepare 2 tsp Garam masala -
  12. Make ready 1 tsp Coriander powder -
  13. Prepare 1 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder -
  14. Prepare 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds -
  15. Prepare Garlic deskinned and diced - 2 nos
  16. Get 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste -
  17. Get 1 Green chilli slit lengthwise -
  18. Take as needed Spring onion -

Its fusion cooking the South Indian Parotta in an Indo Chinese style. If you do not have a chilli sauce, use red chilli powder or a red chilli paste. A handful of vegetables such as carrots, beans, peas, cabbage makes a healthy and nutritious addition. This Chilli Parotta Recipe is nothing but regular parotta's teared into bite sized pieces and tempered with onion, capsicum and sauted in sauces.

Instructions to make Chilli Parotta:
  1. Chop the leftover Parottas into cubes. Fry them in oil and let them dry on tissues to bloat excess oil.
  2. In a sauté pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil. Add the cumin seeds and garlic. When it turns a golden brown, add in onions and ginger garlic paste. Let it turn slight brown. Then add in the bell peppers.
  3. Once they have been crisped, add in coriander powder, kashmiri chilli powder, salt, garam masala and salt. Mix them well in low flame until the flavors are extracted.
  4. Add in chilli sauce, tomato sauce and soy sauce. Mix them well together. Add in hot water to about 1/4 cup and let all of them boil well together for about 3 minutes.
  5. Toss in the fried parotta pieces and mix them well with the gravy. Cover the pan and let it heat for 2 minutes.
  6. Switch the flame off, add in chopped cilantro and spring onions. Toss and serve hot.

Actually in restaurants, the parotta's are dipped in batter and deep fried in oil till crispy. I have given that method too in the tips section.
